OUR HISTORY AND OWNERSHIP

Jones and Rumley glass has been around for over 43 years.  In all of that time, we have had only two premises, and two proprietors.

We started out on Main Road Moonah in 1969, under the ownership of Bryan Rumley and Ron Jones, until moving to our current location at 77 Albert Rd. Moonah, in 1981.

Bryan continued the business on until 1998 when it was bought by the current owners, Clinton and Rosemary Steele who moved back to Tasmania from the Northern Territory to raise the kids in the safe, secure and pleasant environment of Southern Tasmania.

Rosie, Leigh and Jamie make up our service team who will provide you with quotations and advice on our range of products and services.

We have recently renovated the facade and upgraded the showroom to improve the  street appearance and user friendliness for our customers and staff.  Come and have a look and drop in to say hello at the counter if you're passing, and need to discuss your glass and aluminium requirements. Rosemary will happily assist or refer your enquiry on as necessary.

Our staff are all local born and bred Tasmanians, who know and love their community. Many have done their apprenticeships with us, and some of our most recent retirees have been with the company for nearly all of the 43 years that it has existed!   (Congratulations Jack and Willess!!)

We are a family owned and run business that cares about our staff, our customers and our reputation. We are actively involved in supporting a range of charities and local sporting teams and contribute where we can to initiatives that serve the local community.
